Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“we”, “us”) for the use of the Öther you! app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Öther you!
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must not have been banned from the Service before.
- You must be allowed to use the Service under the laws of your country.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it. Keep your login secure and tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Öther you! has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, send or share anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks or intimidates anyone;
- promotes hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic;
- sexualizes minors in any way, or involves grooming or exploitation of children (see our Child Safety Standards);
- is sexually explicit and sent without the other person’s consent, or shares intimate images of anyone without consent;
- promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or illegal activity, including the sale of drugs or weapons;
- is spam, a scam, phishing, fraud, or an attempt to get money or personal information from others;
- impersonates another person, or reveals someone else’s personal information without permission;
- infringes someone else’s intellectual property or other rights.
You also agree not to use bots or automated tools, not to interfere with the Service, and not to try to identify other anonymous users against their will.
4. Reporting, blocking and moderation
Every chat has tools to report and block another user. Blocking ends the conversation immediately. We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours by removing content and suspending or permanently banning users who break these Terms. We may also review content proactively to keep the Service safe.
5. Anonymity has limits
Other users do not see your profile unless you choose to show it. However, they can see what you write and could screenshot or share it. Don’t send anything you wouldn’t want others to see. Anonymity does not protect anyone who breaks the law: we cooperate with authorities as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your content
You own the content you send. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit and display it only as needed to operate, improve and keep the Service safe. We may remove any content that breaks these Terms.
7. Premium and payments
- Chatting on Öther you! is free. Optional paid features (“Premium”) are [describe: subscription / one-time purchase, price shown in the app].
- Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store and are subject to their terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Google Play or App Store account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Refunds are handled by the store where you made the purchase, according to its policies and the law of your country.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may suspend or close your account, without notice, if you break these Terms or if we must do so by law.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not control what other users say and are not responsible for their conduct, online or offline. Be careful when sharing personal information or meeting anyone you met on the Service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from other users’ content or conduct. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
11. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or any claims relating to it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for third-party intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement where it applies.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [country], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. If the changes are material, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service, you accept the updated Terms.
